Mentoring is a critical component in young people’s lives, helping them make the decisions and connections that lead to improved opportunities. Research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful positive effects on young people in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations.

For 35 years, the basement of Simpson United Methodist Church in the Whittier neighborhood of south Minneapolis has served as a much-needed sanctuary for people experiencing the trauma and stress of homelessness.  Read the announcement of Simpson receiving this generous gift.
