The owners of Our Kitchen continued their tradition of serving Christmas breakfast to guests of Simpson’s shelter, with a side of warm hospitality.

Memorial candles are never re-used. Carla Gainey, Simpson Executive Director from 1987-1997, was adamant that new candles be purchased every year. One for every life. To this day, we follow her example.  

The previous set of candleholders didn’t have enough room to fit a candle for everyone, but as luck would have it, Matthew — an Edina Scout — chose to do something for Simpson for his Eagle project.
