This Book Club will read and discuss the themes within Tracy Kidder’s Rough Sleepers. The book follows Dr. Jim O’Connell, a man who invented a community of care for a city’s unhoused population. Join Simpson in reading this compelling nonfiction narrative to explore and reflect on how housing insecurity is intertwined with social systems including health care, education, criminal justice and more.

Volunteers, staff, and community members are welcome to participate. An in-person discussion will be held in May at the Simpson administrative office (160 Glenwood Ave). Please RSVP.
