According to the Wilder Foundation, an estimated 15,000 people are homeless on any given night in Minnesota. These community members face poverty, mental health issues, chronic health conditions, and other significant barriers that prevent them from securing and maintaining safe and stable housing. Each year, many individuals experiencing homelessness die needlessly and unexpectedly.
At the annual Homeless Memorial March and Service, we remember the people who have experienced homelessness and died within the past year. With dignity, we honor the name and memory of each person. Together, we raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and work to end it.
