Artist Profile – Lori Radecki

With over 400 submissions for consideration, the 2025 Art 4 Shelter Committee went through a rigorous voting process, and Lori emerged as the clear winner.

Lori’s vibrant, nature-inspired work captures the beauty, joy, and playfulness of the world around us. A self-taught artist, she explores a variety of mediums, with acrylic inks becoming her latest passion. Her work leans toward abstract realism with a hint of “feel-good,” reflecting the same spirit of warmth and creativity that Art 4 Shelter celebrates.

Lori spent years believing that being an artist meant perfect realism, until she realized that creativity comes in many forms. Now, in the second half of her life, she is fully embracing her artistic journey and is always learning something new!

For Lori, donating to Art 4 Shelter is a way to merge her love for art with her commitment to supporting Simpson Housing Services. We are honored to showcase her talent in this year’s event!

“My grandkids and I have a tradition of doing a sunset dance whenever we are together at sunset. It is joyous, heartwarming, and can end in complete silliness. Painting fills me with those same feelings.” – Lori Radecki
