Careers

Welcome to Careers @ Simpson Housing Services! We invite you to learn more about our critical work to help end homelessness, what makes us special as an organization, and exciting employment opportunities with our team.

Who We Are

Simpson Housing Services’ mission is to house, support, and empower people impacted by homelessness. Founded in 1982, our programs and services have grown to include an extended-stay shelter, supportive housing programs, and developmental and educational services for children. We annually support 2,000 people experiencing and transitioning out of homelessness, including 300 families with 650 children.

Our values reflect how we do our work across the agency. We believe that everybody has the right to safe and affordable housing. Racism is a key cause of homelessness; therefore, we work to dismantle racism on individual, organizational, and systemic levels. We honor the inherent strengths and dignity of each person and promote the power of self-determination. We are driven by compassion and accountability as we build authentic relationships to strengthen our community.

Join us in the important work of ending homelessness.

Simpson’s Culture

Our culture is transformational, not transactional. Collaborative, not controlling. Agile, not change resistant.

At Simpson, we prioritize setting aside time to discuss important issues, reflect, and reconnect. Sometimes that means hard conversations and tough decisions. But we value building open, honest relationships. It is one of our greatest strengths in doing this critical work together.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Racial Justice

Simpson Housing Services is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer/educator and Affirmative Action employer. We are committed to doing anti-racist work as an agency and to the principles of diversity.

Diversity continues to be our primary focus in staffing and hiring, because we believe our staff demographics should be representative of the population demographics we serve. As an affirmative action employer, we actively seek and encourage applications from women, Black and Indigenous People/Person(s) of Color (BIPOC), persons with disabilities, and individuals with protected veteran status.
