Art 4 Shelter Artist: Lisa Romanowski

As a professional graphic designer, Lisa Romanowski creates abstract digital paintings with pixels instead of paint. I begin with a base photograph and layer on fields of color and visual texture that interplay with the classic design elements of shape, form, space, and scale. The original sense of place and location is obscured and transformed in the processcreating a unified field of energy that inspires joy and connection,” says Lisa.

Lisa’s artistic talents and keen sense of design are influenced by her family members, many of whom are architects.

Contributing to Art 4 Shelter for six years, Lisa whole-heartedly supports the important work of Simpson: “Everyone deserves a decent place to lay their head at night. I believe in Simpson Housing Services mission and values.

Lisa’s graphic design work has been recognized for design excellence by many organizations and has been published in a variety of corporate identity publications.

Originally from Iowa, Lisa has lived in several locations in the U.S., including Chicago, Golden, Colorado, and now Minneapolis.
