One month ago, we gathered at the 38th Annual Homeless Memorial Service to remember 268 people who passed away in 2022: 153 who died while experiencing homelessness, 95 who were previously homeless, and 20 who were advocates. It was a solemn night filled with shared memories, beautiful music, and a moving message. (Read news coverage of the march here.) Former Simpson participant and board member Buffy Moore was the featured speaker. Her journey is incredible: from experiencing homelessness as a single mother of five to now pursuing her masters’ degree in social work. Thank you for sharing your story, Buffy!
